A few months ago, Google announced that it was going to add a Notes section to the sidebar of the Chrome browser. This would allow comments and notes to be added to files in the cloud. And now it became known that a similar function may appear for ordinary websites.

Note that Microsoft Edge already has a similar solution, and now, judging by the sources, Google plans to implement it as well. Moreover, it seems that this will be an extension, and a function built into the browser itself.

Such a feature can be useful if you need to select a piece of text on a web page to monitor its changes. Or it just allows you to add a little more data about the website.

There is no word yet on when the new feature will appear in the release version of the browser or at least in the public early build. Earlier it became known that a new feature of Google Chrome will extend the life of the laptop battery by “parking” the download of scripts.
