Economic uncertainty in the world did not prevent Apple from earning $83 billion in the last quarter. In annual terms, the revenue of the iPhone manufacturer increased by 2%. This was made possible thanks to users of Android devices.

During the release of quarterly reports, Tim Cook made a statement that in June a quarterly record was set for the number of users who switched to using the iPhone from other platforms. Apple refers to these users as “switchers”. “Other platforms” refers to Android.

According to CFO Luca Maestri, the active audience of iOS devices has reached a record level. A survey conducted by 451 Research in the United States showed that iPhone owners are 98% satisfied with their smartphones. The top manager emphasized that in the second quarter, Apple managed to attract a record number of “switchers”. Their audience showed double-digit growth.

Thus, the “apple” giant officially confirmed the consistency of analysts’ statements that the audience of the Android software platform continues to decline. Four years ago, its market share was estimated at 77.32%. Now it does not exceed 69.74%.
