ZARAGOZA, 23 September (EFE) .- Switzerland coach Murat Yakin praised the brilliance of the Spanish team on the eve of their encounter on the final day of the League of Nations, assessing the work of Luis Enrique Martinez, his bet by the youngsters and a game he described as “interesting ” claimed.
“I really appreciate the work of Luis Enrique in the Spanish team, his commitment to the young players and the game they play, which is very interesting. They have created a brilliant team from a technical point of view”, Yakin analyzed in the press conference before Switzerland’s last training session in La Romareda.
Spain won the last match between the two teams by a narrow margin (0-1) as a reference before the Euro Cup. “We want to go out and put pressure on Spain like we did in the second half in Geneva. That should be our starting point. We picked up where we left off in the last game against them where I honestly think we had at least one against one of the best teams in the world. I deserved the points.”
Since that meeting in June, Yakin assured that he had made “good decisions” despite the defeat and noted that in Zaragoza he had restored key parts of his party’s structure.
“We know what awaits us tomorrow. The last match was not our best moment and we were missing key players. Three months have passed and now everything is different. I have everyone available and fit, we rely on ourselves to continue in Group A of the Nations League,” he valued.
The Swiss coach does not plan to reserve anything for the final day, where he faces the Czech Republic, and said he will bring his “best XI” after a week of training where he takes advantage of the test. “We are not going to do any experiments. I’ve tried with two systems to be flexible on the field and the players are clear about it, they’re used to it.
