Palma, 23 September (EFE).- The president of the government, Francina Armengol, will preside over the Balearic government for a third consecutive term as head of the list of Balearic Socialists in next year’s regional elections, it has been confirmed. Friday
Armengol sent a letter to his party’s militants and released a video in which he announced his candidacy to continue the “process of irreversible transformation” that began in 2015, the PSIB said in a statement.
“We will work hard to rethink socialist majorities and achieve them where we don’t have them, to continue to take bold steps, to continue to build a society with values that are fairer and more egalitarian,” the regional executive said. promise
Armengol underlined the progress achieved despite obstacles such as the coronavirus pandemic, after which the Balearic Islands led economic growth and job creation in Spain, with it facing the effects of the war at “the best starting point” from Ukraine.
“For 7 years, a strong agenda of profound change has been developing that has led us to pioneer many policies and actions because we want an environmentally sustainable island, but also socially and economically”, stressed the candidate.
