Mérida, September 22 (EFE) .- The president of the Junta de Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara, said this Thursday that the PP, “whenever the elections come, “points the finger in Catalonia” with the aim of capturing votes.

“They work in a political context that when elections come it becomes an excuse to vote,” added Fernández Vara, referring to his Andalusian counterpart Juanma Moreno’s interest in moving companies based in Catalonia to Andalusia.

The Extremaduran executive head rejected the PP’s “desire” to “try to enter into conflict between regions again.”

“They leave the uniform of the Spanish unit a bit abandoned, the flag is hung behind the door and they go to see everything, how we divide the territories, how we mess with others to get electoral revenue,” added the boss of the Extremadura executive.

In his opinion, “PP has left the context of politics when there are pretexts for votes if not elections.”

Similarly, he claimed to be “confused” that “PP’s great measure” to combat the inflationary crisis was to “cut taxes on those who have the most.” “It doesn’t get into people’s heads,” he remarked.
