Alicante, September 20 (EFE) .- The body of a man in an advanced state of decomposition, all pointing to a migrant who fell into the sea while traveling by boat, was found floating in the vicinity of a fish farm two nautical miles away. From San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia), sources from Maritime Rescue told EFE.

The lifeless body was discovered at around 4:25pm and rescued by the Red Cross and Alicante-based maritime rescue ship ‘Leo’ before being transferred to the port of San Pedro, where, at this time, the arrival of the judge on duty to remove the body awaits.

The first indications are that it could be a migrant who fell into the water from a small boat en route from the African coast to the Valencian community or the region of Murcia.

On August 27, a small boat was found about 30 nautical miles from Cabo de la Nao in Xàbia (Alicante), with only a 21-year-old man on board, who reported that the unsuspecting boat had sunk shortly before, leaving the boat missing, with the rest on board. EFE
