BARCELONA, September 19 (EFE).- FC Barcelona’s board of directors has approved the budget for the 2022-23 season, forecasting an operating income of 1,255 million euros and a profit of 274 million.

Similarly, the Barca board today closed the 2021-22 financial year with a turnover of 1,017 million euros and a profit of 98 million euros.

On the other hand, in the meeting, the next gathering of the compromising members was fixed on October 9, which will be telematic.

On the same day, Barca will host Celta de Vigo at the Camp Nou in La Liga Santander’s matchday eight on Spotify, kicking off at 9:00 p.m.

In this work session, the Board of Directors was also briefed on the progress of the demolition work on a part of the third level of the south goal of the stadium, which started on September 1. Some work has been promoted to take advantage of the window of opportunity offered by the break in World Cup competition between November and December.

On the other hand, Spotify has completed the development of the basic advanced project for the renovation of the Camp Nou, under the responsibility of the Japanese company Nikken Sekkei, with IDOM and b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos, who concluded their contract on August 15.

According to the club, there was therefore no termination of the contract, as has been reported in some media in recent days, but rather the termination of the contract.

Once the advanced basic project is completed, the bidding process for the construction of the new stadium has begun. And parallely, the bidding process is completed as per the work guidelines.

In this Monday’s meeting, FC Barcelona’s board of directors approved that the work should fall to a joint venture formed by the Catalan company Engineering and Architecture Torella and JG Engineers. This joint venture will manage the construction phase of the new stadium, with IDOM and b720 taking over the design.

At the same time, the Barça club continues to work with Nikken Sekkei, winner of the new stadium design competition in 2016, for the design guardian tasks of the Spotify Camp Nou project, supporting the bidding process for the work, drafting the execution project and guiding the work.

In the next quarter, the bidding process for executive work management (surveyor), safety and health control (occupational risk) and quality control will begin.
