Philip VI will attend the ceremony before Elizabeth II’s burial in Windsor

Spain’s King, Felipe VI, will attend religious services before the burial of Queen Elizabeth II at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, the Spanish Royal House said.

Don Felipe has accepted the invitation given by King Carlos III to the royal houses to participate in this religious service, which will take place on Monday afternoon and is more intimate than the state funeral held in Westminster Abbey.

Queen Sofia will accompany the King, while Queen Letizia will not be able to attend as she has to catch a regular flight to New York. King Emeritus Juan Carlos, for his part, declined the invitation according to the same source.
